TO ONE WHO BELIEVES DIVINITY SCHOOLS ARE
LUCIFERIAN BECAUSE THEY OPERATE WITH MASONIC MONEY
Dear D. W.
May 12, 1987
I am very concerned about you. You
are conspiratorially-minded to the point of becoming a nihilist.
Instead of sorting out the bad, you want to throw out
everything. Yours is the philosophy of madness.
Your premise is wrong: instead
of accepting the Scriptures by faith, you even go so far as to
intimate the Word of God itself is the product of a conspiracy.
Instead of leaning upon your understanding, you are going to
have to accept something as authoritative; and, if that
"something" is not the Bible, you are going to cast yourself
upon the sea of relativism.
"These were more noble than those in
Thessalonica," Paul said of the Bereans, because they "searched
the Scriptures daily whether these things were so." They
scrutinized the things Paul preached comparing those things with
the Word of God. When you turn your back on "divinity schools"
because they operate with masonic money, remember that you, too,
operate with masonic money. Your argument is foolish.
Where I attended school, I was
brought to an awareness of my sins against the Lord, and, it was
there that the Lord opened my eyes, and gave me faith to believe
that what Jesus did on the cross, He did for me. He did not die
on the cross for any crimes He had done, but for the crimes I
had committed against the Lord God Almighty. It was at Bob Jones
University that the Lord gave me knowledge that my sins had been
washed away, even mine.
I believe your maze of confusion is
the result of "walking in the counsel of the ungodly." That is,
you are listening to, and reading after men who themselves do
not have any love for God, or for His truth. "Blessed is the man
that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly" (Psalm 1:1). ...
OF CIVIL GOVERNMENT
Dear F. H.
October 6, 1988
...First, I think your understanding
of Romans 13 is somewhat lacking. In the first verse, Paul
declares that every soul is to be subject to the power of God.
This includes government leaders. This is why Calvin declared
tyrants have no legitimate authority. He said, "Dictatorships
and unjust authorities are not ordained governments. ...In
short, they are responsible to God and to men in the exercise of
their rule."
Chrysostom understood it to mean that when
civil authorities take what belongs to God, namely the
definition of Right and Wrong, by commanding what is sinful, to
pay such tribute is not being obedient to Caesar, but is doing
the work of the Devil. Matthew Henry states, "If Caesar's
commands interfere with God's, we must obey God rather than
men." He states it to be a rule in the common law of England
that if any statute be contrary to the Law of God, it is null
and void. "That is right indeed that is right in the sight of
God."
Even Euripides asks the rhetorical
question: "Should we not obey the commands of princes?" "No," he
answers, "if they command evil things." Your own excellent
illustration was the disobedience to Pharaoh's mandate by the
Hebrew midwives...
While you have not thought this through, I
know you will agree that any system of government that funds the
butchering of children, that supports the organizations that
promote sodomy, that rewards illegitimacy, indolence and
adultery is wicked.
The next descent down the slippery slide of
socialism will be socialized medicine. Ask the people in
England, or Sweden if socialism works. The latter country takes
90 percent of earnings to provide care from the cradle to the
grave: but God has no consideration from it.
I trust you will keep praying for me. I need
wisdom because I do not want to be the Devil's fool, and I need
wisdom to know how to deal with our society, and still be true
to the Word of God. After reading your letter, I believe it is
only a question of time before your eyes will be opened.
Perhaps, it will take the imprint in the hand before you realize
where we are heading.
ON LAWFUL GOVERNMENT
Dear D. B.
December 25, 1990
...Does the Lord tell us to
obey magistrates in everything? Did not the apostles disobey,
and give as their defense, "Whether it be right in the sight of
God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye" (Acts
4:19)? Does this not mean that when government orders us to do
anything wrong, we are to do the will of God?
The Apostle Paul tells us in Romans 13,
that all are to be subject to God. Does this mean the members of
City Council? What about Governors, Senators, and members of the
House of Representatives? Are they to be subject to the "higher
powers?" Does it include presidents as well as dictators?
In Romans chapter 13, God lays down the
characteristics that distinguish legitimate government. Please
note:
l.) "Rulers are not a terror to good
works, but to the evil" (vs. 3). But, when rulers become a
terror to good works, and not to the evil, what then? "Let every
soul be subject unto the higher powers."
2.) "He is the minister of God to thee for good"
(vs. 4). But when government funds sodomy, blasphemy, and
murder, is it still the minister of God to us for good?
3.) "He beareth not the sword in vain" (vs. 4b).
But when the sword is borne in vain, and evil men are no longer
put to death, but good people live in peril every day, are they
"God's ministers attending continually upon this very thing?"
God has entrusted parents with the
responsibility to teach and to train their children. In some
states, parents who refuse to give up their children to the sex
education of the drug culture pervading their school system—I
say, in some states, their children may be taken from them. Whom
do we obey? God or "Caesar?"
If I voluntarily deliver up the heritage
of the Lord to be defiled, God will spue me out of His mouth.
"May God Smile On You."
