The God Who Is

THE EXPLOSION OF A COMPANION STAR (THE BIG BANG) THEORY

The most popular current theory of evolution advanced to explain the origin of our world is called "The Big Bang Theory." The official name is "The Explosion Of A Companion Star Theory." In 1956, Fred Hoyle declared that the solar system was made when a companion star of our sun exploded. He maintained that our sun was actually a "binary," that our sun had a companion star. According to Hoyle, the explosion produced a cloud that condensed, and formed the earth.

The problem with these theories is that each fails to give the "origin" of the earth, or of our solar system because each theory "begins" with something—either a star, or a dust cloud. They may be touted in the press, but since neither the theory of evolution nor the doctrine of creation can be tested or observed, the subject of origins remains a matter of philosophy or theology and not of science.

Evolutionary Theories of The Origin of Life

ORGANISMS

It has been proposed that a simple-celled creature swimming about in the ocean swam upon the shore and eventually grew legs, became erect, and began to walk. From this creature, the ape emerged, and from the ape, man appeared.

Most people have never stopped to ponder what the theory of evolution really teaches. The Bible says that God made man in His image. If man truly came from apes, as evolution teaches, then what does that make God but a monkey? This is the reason the apostle declares, "O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called: which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with thee. Amen" (I Timothy 6:20,21). Evolutionists first believed organisms evolved such as horses and dogs. Today, most evolutionists have rejected that notion because organisms are too complex to have happened by chance. There are 100,000 species of fungi ranging from the mold that grows on bread to that which grows on rocks; and there are 250,000 species of beetles. It is certainly more reasonable to believe God designed organisms than to believe these things happened by chance. The sole reason for the popularity of the theories of evolution is man's hatred of God.

ORGANS

Evolutionists next taught that organs such as the eye and the brain have evolved. Reader, did you know that when we first look at something, for the first thousandth of a second, we see that object upside down, but in that thousandth of a second, it is inverted? It has been said that the human brain has so many electrical circuits that to build a comparable computer would require that it be housed in the Pentagon, and that if it were turned on, it would likely burst into flames. God put just such a computer in our head. Incidentally, the reason evolutionists who write science fiction consistently depict intellectually advanced beings with large heads is because of the mistaken belief that intelligence is determined by the size of the brain. Dante, who wrote The Divine Comedy, and who is considered the father of the modern Italian language, had the smallest brain on record. Many evolutionists have said that the body with its organs is so complex, that it could not have happened by chance. Organs are too complex to have simply evolved.

CELLS

In order to continue their oppositions of science "falsely so called," some evolutionists have declared that cells have evolved. But as with organisms and organs, most have now found individual cells so vastly complex that many of them are now saying not cells, but molecules have evolved.

MOLECULES

Molecules are the building blocks of all things. They may be composed of one atom as in the case of hydrogen, or as many as 2,378 atoms as in a molecule of hemoglobin. One molecule of hemoglobin can have as many as 758 atoms of carbon, 1203 atoms of hydrogen, 195 atoms of nitrogen, 3 atoms of sulfur, 1 atom of iron, and 218 atoms of oxygen.

Some evolutionists have therefore concluded that molecules are too complex to have evolved. Atoms seen only through an electron-microscope actually require 15 pounds to pressure to penetrate. What holds an atom together?

If we attempt to join the north poles of two magnets, they repel. It is their nature to fight each other. Yet, in an atom, two negatively charged electrons will chase each other; and the nucleus of an atom may contain several positively charged protons. Why do they not repel? Scientists do not know the reason, and have given this mystery a name: they call it "atomic glue."

In Colossians chapter 1, in verse 16, we read, "By (Christ) all things consist." The Greek word "consist" means, "hold together." A desk is 99 percent air; a book also is 99 percent air, yet the desk will hold the book. The book will not fall through the desk. The molecular structure is different, yet they are both 99 percent air.

PROTEINS

Other evolutionists have declared that proteins have evolved. But many have rejected this notion as well because there are 100,000 different kinds of protein molecules. These things could not have randomly evolved. This is the intelligent work of the Creator.
