PROOF THE MESSIAH HAS COME

Dear F. F.                                                                                                    February 14, 1990

...When Jacob declared, "The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be" (Genesis 49:10), he declared that there would be a king on the throne of David until "Shiloh" comes, or, until he who is to come has come.

As Adam Clarke points out in his Commentary either there is a king in Israel today, or Shiloh has come. ...

TO A CONVERT TO JUDAISM

Dear F. F.                                                                                                  September 24, 1986

...As I look at numerous families where there is one, or two godly ones, and the rest of the family members could not care less for the things of God, I shudder at the Scripture, "Many are called, but few are chosen" (Matthew 22:14). ...

According to the Talmud, there are three great enemies of Judaism: Balaam, who led Israel into apostasy; Titus, who destroyed Jerusalem; and Jesus, who, like Balaam, seduced the people (Git. 56b-57a).

The Jewish Encyclopedia calls the Lord Jesus a bastard. On page 170, it says, "His mother ...Mary ...was known to be an adulteress"; while the Talmud says, "She who was the descendant of princes and governors, played the harlot with carpenters" (Sanh. 106b). In Sanhedrin 43a, the Talmud declares Christ to have practiced sorcery. In Shabbethai 104b, and Sanhedrin 67a, the Talmud calls him the "son of Pandera" and "Ben Stada."

There is a legend in the Talmud that declares the Lord Jesus is in Hell in boiling excrement. This is confirmed by the Jewish Encyclopedia on page 172 (See: Git. 56b-57a).

In the Sanhedrin 107b, the unedited editions of the Talmud say that Jesus was excommunicated for the thought of seducing a woman, and in his ensuing grief and confusion, He fell down to worship a brick. The Jewish Encyclopedia confirms the same on page 170.

If you can embrace such blasphemy, it is because there is no light in you. God has not given you an heart to perceive, and eyes to see, and ears to hear unto this day. Love and prayers.

Dear F. F.                                                                                                  November 18, 1992

...Isaiah wrote, "For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground ..." (53:2). Of this passage, Rabbi Hadarsan said this means "without the seed of man."

"...And the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all" (Isaiah 53:6). Rabbi Cahana said, "As the ass bears burdens and the garments of travellers, so the King Messiah will bear upon Him the sins of the whole world, as it is said, `The LORD hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all.'" Must go.

ON JUDEO-CHRISTIANITY

Dear D. W.                                                                                                         May 12, 1987

...What do you mean when you ask me if I believe in "Judeo-Christianity"? On the one hand, it is as much a misnomer as "satanic godliness" or "unbelieving faith." "They are not all Israel, which are of Israel: neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, in Isaac shall thy seed be called" (Romans 9:6,7). True Israel, then, as now, is made up of believers.

In Hosea, chapter one, the prophet declares, the day is coming when Israel shall once again be called, "the sons of the living God." Paul quotes this in Romans chapter 9, and applies it to the church. The church is the successor to Israel. True believers make up the Israel of God, whether they are Jews or Gentiles. "God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew" (Romans 11:1).

But, on the other hand, Christianity is founded upon Judaism. God gave the Law to the Jews for all men to observe; and, which of the prophets was not a Jew? The Word of God, the Scriptures, came to us from the hand of the Jews. In this sense, Christianity is "Judeo." Caution must be taken in this day, however, because of the hyper-dispensational views of some people. Some of these people assert the church age is but a parenthesis in the plan of God; and, others maintain that while Gentiles are saved by the grace of God, Jewish people are saved by their works. This is simple heresy. ...
