 TO AN APOSTATE

Dear F. F.                                                                                                    February 23, 1988

       ...(It appears as though) you were once enlightened, but that you have fallen away; and without repentance and faith in the only sacrifice any man now has, it is impossible for you to be renewed again. You have crucified to yourself the Son of God, and have put Him to an open shame.

     Instead of holding fast the profession of your faith without wavering, you did not consider Him to be faithful, but have sinned willfully after having received the knowledge of the truth. Consequently, there remains no more sacrifice for sin; but what does remain is a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation which shall devour the adversaries.

       You have trodden under foot the Son of God and have counted the blood of the Covenant where with Christ was sanctified an unholy thing. You have done despite unto the Spirit of grace. And, as briars and thorns when once rejected are nigh unto cursing, so their end is to be burned. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

       You have cast away your confidence: you have drawn back —therefore, the Lord shall have no pleasure in you. I cannot be angry with you because God has not given you eyes to see, or ears to hear unto this day. My love and my tears are with you constantly.

ON NATIONAL APOSTASY

Dear A. M.                                                                                                         May 1, 1993

        ...On March 16th, the CBS Evening News related that hogs are being genetically engineered by adding a human gene. The reason is supposed to be to cut down excessive fat and cholesterol. The hogs, however, are nearly totally blind. At what point will people be forced to stop eating meat?

       The News also told of genetically altered mice produced with human genes are "alarmingly large" to use their own words.

      Tomatoes are being genetically corrupted by the Campbell Soup Company to produce a variety that is resistant to cold temperatures. They have taken out a gene, reproduced it in the laboratory, and placed it backward into the cell. It is not very appealing to the taste; but it is on account of unknown dangers that may result from using them that 1000 chefs have refused to use them. The FDA has said it will not warn consumers the tomatoes they are buying are genetically altered.

      Environmentalists have suggested the way to cut down on the burgeoning deer populations is to perform vasectomies on them. These are days of apostasy, and I believe these days are prophecied to get worse, and not better. Never before has there been so much religion in our society, while society worsens. ...

ON THE DOCTRINE OF DEMONS

Dear G. T.                                                                                                    October 25, 1991

        ...Correspondence continues to be a large part of my work. I have received a ten-page article this week that involves two very serious errors, the second being the result of the first.

        The writer says, "There is a black thread running through the tapestry of time which clearly shows that a devious group of men, bent on ruling the world, saw that the best way to ensnare people was through religion. ...It was this group of men who assembled the New Testament. ...The New Testament is 100% the work of man." It appears that the writer has blasphemed the Holy Spirit, and is damned. He cuts off the only hope he has for the forgiveness of sins.

         He then proceeds to defend his idea that the Deity of Christ was invented by men, and that such a notion would mean that Christ was half man and half God. Again, he seems to cut himself off from the only Saviour God has provided for man.

        He then concludes by calling people to take up arms to overthrow our government. I fear the writer has not only blasphemed against the Holy Spirit, but that he is damned for sedition (Galatians 5:19-21).

       This is such awesome evidence of the doctrines of demons, I wanted to share it with you. We are facing some awful days ahead. Since these people claim to be Christians, when they launch their attack upon the government, all believers will be suspect.

     Today, I wrote an editorial to one of the local newspapers because one writer twice called Noah and the flood a myth. If we do not defend truth, we surrender it. Must go.

OF THE DOCTRINE OF ELECTION

        ...When I look at numerous families where there is one, or two godly members, and the rest could not care less for the things of God, I tremble at that Scripture, "Many are called, but few are chosen" (Matthew 20:16). ...
