Text: "...God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; neither is worshipped with men’s hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; and hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; that they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us : for in him we live, and move, and have our being, as certain also of your own poets have said, "For we are also his offspring"

(Acts 17:24-28).

Are black people genetically inferior to white people? Consider the following.

"It cannot be discounted that 60% of Americans arrested and convicted of violent crimes consist of blacks, though our black population comprises 12-15% of our population, and though criminal

investigation is necessarily less effective in ghetto areas" (Stanley Burnham, America’s Bimodal Crisis: Black Intelligence In White Society, Foundation for Human Understanding, 1993, p. 93). "94% of blacks" (Professor Harris, in Final Call, published by the Nation of Islam, April 27, 1994).

In the same article, Professor Harris asks, "Why are there more blacks in poverty after the Civil Rights Movement than before it?" Burnham speaks of the "pervasiveness of black poverty throughout the world. A lower standard of living among blacks is not just an American problem, but may be found from Watts to Zimbabwe. For in no country, not in any recorded epoch of history, has the overwhelming majority of the black population ever known anything except hand-to-mouth survival at a subsistence level. In societies dominated by a black majority, as in Africa and the Caribbean Islands, it is this black majority which is impoverished. In societies with large black minorities, such as in Brazil and the United States, it is this large black minority which is impoverished" (59-60).

"Haiti, the world’s oldest nation with continuous black sovereignty, is also one of its most pitiful basket cases. Since bloody emancipation from France in 1801-1804, Haiti’s living conditions have plummeted to rock bottom with absolutely no prospect of recovery. Here is an island paradise relatively from of Euro-American imperialism for almost two centuries now, and its starving and disease-infested population has been reduced to such an extreme, that boatloads of refugees are voyaging hundreds of miles through hazardous seas so they, too, might enjoy the comparative affluence of the American negro in the

state of Florida" (60-61).

He goes on to state that in nations such as Uganda and Zimbabwe where white investment has been cut, the standard of living has markedly fallen. When East African nations banished Indian shopkeepers, black entrepreneurs failed to replace them, and the confiscated shops went out of business (61-62).

In Africa, white slave traders bought black slaves from black tribal slave traders. Black tribal leaders dominated the African slave trade long before white men became involved in it. "African river tribes...kept slaves for purposes of cannibalism. The Fang supplemented their captured slaves with slaves they purchased from neighboring tribes" to meet their inordinate appetite (Burnham, 45).

Before the introduction of Christianity, polygamy was universally practiced. Murder was carded out according to the ever-changing whims of the tribal chief. So, Chaka, the one-time king of the Zulus, had 60 boys murdered who were under the age of 12, in order to prepare himself for breakfast (Chaka by H. F. Flynn, Baker Book House, 1974; pp. 389-390).

Central and South Africa could boast of gold, diamonds and oil, but unlike their Egyptian cousins, the wheel was unknown to them until it was introduced by David Livingstone in the 1870’s. Tribes in Central Africa knew nothing about money or banking, or 2-story wood construction. They never invented scissors or the hinge (Burnham, 49-50).

It was after the arrival in Africa of Christianity -not merely the arrival of white men, but of Christians-that the African people reduced their languages to writing, formalized education, and inoculated their children, it was owing to Christianity that roads were built, and the arbitrary rule of shamans, and tribal chiefs was replaced with civil laws whereby people could live.

With the rejection of Christianity, the people of Africa quickly slipped back into barbarism. Consider the recent mass murders in Rwanda, and lawlessness in America. In an article entitled "1994; Slavery Continues in Africa." that appeared in the Augusta Focus, it is admitted that the problem is that Muslims are enslaving Christians and Animists. "Widows and orphans of slain Christian men are being sold as slaves in northern Sudan and Libya" (What in the World, Vol. XVI, No. 8; published by Bob Jones University, Greenville, So. Carolina).

According to Dr. Charles Jacobs and Mohammed Athie’s article in the Augusta Focus, "...in1988, one automatic weapon could be traded for 6 or 7 child slaves. In 1989, A Dinka woman or child could be bought for $90. Due to prevailing conditions, in 1990, the fell to $15.

Other differences include cranial capacity as well as the size, the weight and the shape of the brain. There is no controversy that God made black people with distinctive features that set them apart from other people. Students of craniometrics and psychometrics study the differences in the development of the cortex and frontal lobes, fissuration, supra-granular layer thickness, and the number of pyramidal neurons (Burnham, 32). "Nevertheless, in the 4 studies listed by Carothers, Negro brain size was established to be significantly smaller, averaging from 2.8 to 7.9% less than white brain size" (30).

This Writer would ask, "If a person uses only about 10% of his brain potential, what difference does it make what size, or shape the brain?" The reader should note that the idea that the "greater the size of the brain, the great the intelligence" is a myth propagated by many evolutionists. Hence, the protruding foreheads of advanced life forms in science fiction movies. It is utterly false. The weight of the brain mass, and the size or shape of the cranial cavity does not determine intelligence.

Nevertheless, reliable statistics continue to show marked differences in intelligence between black people and white people. Stanley Burnham writes that according to data gathered by Arthur Jensen (Bias In Mental Testing, 1980; Straight Talk About Mental Tests, 1981; etc.) and others who have studied psychometrics, 16% of the black population is smarter than 50% of white people (70). "Roughly 50% of our black population will be incompetent for tasks requiring cognitive skills in excess of an 85 IQ, (and) that roughly 84% of our black population will incompetent for tasks requiring cognitive skills in excess of a 100 IQ" (106). In our black population, only one person in a thousand has an IQ of 130 -plus (71).

Many believe the reason for apparent black inferiority lies in their biology, i.e. in their genes. Therefore, they suggest the answer for societies is first, to admit they have a problem, and second to work toward solving the problem by resorting to biology, i.e. to abortion (aborticide), and sterilization. But their premise is wrong, so their solution is likewise wrong. Consider the following.

The National Center for Health Statistics records that in the United States, the percentage of illegitimate births to white women in 1990 account for 21% of all white births. The average number of births to unmarried women among the whole population was 28%. But the percentage of illegitimate births among black women accounted for 65.2% of all black births (William Bennett, The Index of Leading Culture Indicators, Vol. I, published by The Heritage Foundation, and Empower America, 1993, p. 10). Burnham is right when he states "The least competent mothers tend to be the most actively reproductive, and they can be expected to encourage comparable tendencies in their children by the time they reach their mid-teens..." (99).

Are black people genetically inferior to white people? According to our text, black people are NOT inferior to white people because first, "God that made the world and all things therein" (Acts 17:24) made both black men and white men, and the Bible tells us "God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good" (Gen. 1:31).

Second, God has made "of ONE BLOOD all nations of men" (vs. 26). Therefore, all men proceed from the same stock.

Third, black men, white men, and all other men are exhorted to seek the Lord (vs. 27). And, God says He will be found of men of any or of every nation, humanly speaking, if they will but "seek the Lord" and feel after him".

Fourth, black men are not inferior to white men because all men are the "offspring of God" (vs. 28).

Black people are not genetically inferior to white people. This writer has taught in the black community for the past 20 years, and therefore has some knowledge of what he says. Neither is the white man the "saviour of society". The answer for men and nations everywhere is Jesus Christ, Son of God, and Prince of Peace. But black societies have for the most part refused to be governed by the laws of God.

In America, most black people have accepted a form of Christianity, but there is often little serious desire to be "conformed to the image of Christ". There is much splash and roar, but little regard for obedience. But the same may be said of white people who in one generation have exchanged their Bibles for the preachments of psychology. The Church, that used to be a house of prayer, has in many cases become a theater for entertainment, or a country club for recreation. The problem is not in genes, but in the lack of true religion.

There is increasingly little difference between black people and white people. American colleges have been "dumbing down" their tests every 2-3 years for the past 30 years. This is not simply to accommodate black students, but white students as well. The problem is not to be found in our genes, but in our rebellion to God. It is on account of what sociologists call "behavior," but what God calls "sin."

The Lord says, "My people ask counsel at their stocks, and their staff declareth unto them: for the spirit of whoredoms hath caused them to err" (Hos. 4:12). "And I will bring distress upon men that they shall walk like blind men, because they have sinned against the Lord..." (Zeph. 1:17). SIN makes people stupid. It robs them of their identity and purpose. Consider again the report given above that states the number of illegitimate white births in 1990 was 21% of all white births, while illegitimate births among black people accounted for 65.2% of all black births. What child will care about achieving academic excellence when mother "runs" the home, and Dad has "split"?

Consider this. Is the tyranny, the cruelty, and the barbarism of African cannibalism any worse than the tyranny, the cruelty, and the barbarism of Stalin, or of Mao Tse-Tung, or of Pol Pot, or of Napoleon? Is the slavery of the people of Europe and Asia under communism any less real or any less brutal than the African slave trade?

As white societies east off godliness and refuse to be governed by God, they follow the same road to ruin and barbarism as black societies have done. But, if black or white society was to repent of their sins, remarkable changes would result at every level of society. True religion brings blessings to men. It is immorality and its attending evils of poverty, crime, and disease that threatens the existence of society, but it is convoluted thinking to fault biology. The answer does not lie in biology, but in repentance and conversion.

Enslin to be drummed out of Camp tomorrow morning by all the Drummers and Filets in the Army never to return; The Drummers and Fifers (are) to attend on the Grand Parade at Guard mounting for that Purpose."

He told them, "It’s just incredible what is happening to our families, especially our children. There is only one answer and one solution for mankind, and that is in A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP AND ENCOUNTER WITH JESUS CHRIST."

"No, sir, it is not!" With his leukemian answer, Dr. Dobson has brushed aside the conviction of sin, guilt, shame, repentance, (with its sorrow for sin), faith, and conversion. He has pushed aside the substitutionary sacrifice of Christ, the blood atonement, and the mercy and grace of God. "Dr. Dobson, are you a true Christian? Do you know what it means to be ’saved"?"
