FOR BETTER OR WORSE:
CHAPTER SEVEN -- PREPARATIONS FOR GLOBAL TYRANNY
Text: “ ...No man might buy or sell save he that had the mark, or the
name of the Beast, or the number of his name . . .it is the number of a
man; and his number is six hundred three score and six." (Revelation
13:18)
The Rise of Anti-Christ
It is a
truth clearly revealed in the Word of God that there is fast approaching
a global leader who will set up an international dictatorship. While the
tyrants of earth have been renown for their wickedness, Scripture
identifies this man as "The Man of Sin." (II Thessalonians 2:5) (See:
verses 4-10) While other men in history have been anti-Christ, this man
will be known as "The Anti-Christ." (I John 2:18) There has never before
been such a man who will so completely sell himself to work wickedness
in the sight of God. When he is revealed, he will be the incarnation of
evil.
One thing the Man of Sin will do is to
prohibit anyone from buying or selling who will not receive his mark in
their hand or forehead. (Revelations 15:16-18) Scripture declares that
to receive his mark which is the mark of a man being six hundred three
score and six (666) will be to swear allegiance to him. The apostle John
tells us that all who do so will literally seal their damnation, and
cannot be converted. (Revelation 14:9-11; 19:20) In a very real sense,
people will agree to give up all hope of forgiveness of their sins and
of everlasting salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ in order to
receive his mark.
The only way for Anti-Christ, the Man
of Sin, to be able to forbid any to buy or to sell except those who
worship him will be for him to gain control of the economic systems
worldwide. Before this can be accomplished, the economic systems of the
world will have to reject God's righteous Law of a perfect and just
weight and measure in favor of man-made alternatives. Economic systems
established upon the everlasting principles of the Law of God cannot be
manipulated by man.
The Call for A World Bank
If such thoughts tend to cause the reader to exclaim, "Much learning hath made thee mad!” consider the fact that Dr. Richard Cooper, professor of International Economics at Harvard University, who served as Under Secretary of State for Economic Affairs during the Carter Administration and who served as Provost at Yale from 1972-1974, wrote an article that was published in the Fall 1984 issue of the journal "Foreign Affairs" entitled "A Monetary System For the Future." In it he writes,
“ . . . I suggest a radical alternative scheme for the next century: the creation of a common currency for all of the industrialized democracies with a common monetary policy and a joint Bank of Issue to determine that monetary policy” (Allan, 2-4).
This is the reason this writer
believes the legislation signed by President Woodrow Wilson at 6:00
P.M., December 23, 1913 (Johnson, 5) was the most significant piece of
legislation enacted by the Congress of the United States since it passed
the Constitution as the Law of the land. The Federal Reserve Act
established a central banking system (Johnson, 5) and with international
connections has prepared the way for global tyranny under the control of
the Anti-Christ.
